First Cursillo according to Eduardo Bonnín’s framework

Between 19 and 23 August 1944, the first Cursillo according to Eduardo Bonnín’s framework was held in Cala Figuera de Santanyí, Majorca. With Fr Juan Juliá as spiritual director and Eduardo Bonnín as rector, this gathering already contained the essential elements that would later shape the Cursillos in Christianity Movement. This anniversary should be understood as the historical and foundational milestone linked to Bonnín’s method, distinct from the first officially numbered Cursillo, held in 1949.
